Diana J. White Cancer Institute
The Diana J. White Cancer Institute at Adventist Health Sonora provides nationally-accredited, complete cancer care, right here in the Sierra Foothills.

Our expert care has earned us Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) certification, signifying our adherence to the industry’s highest quality standards for medical oncology and infusion therapy. No other hospital in our region or the Central Valley carries QOPI certification.
Medical Oncology/Hematology*
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our nationally-trained physician specialists detect and treat all types of cancer. They’ll help you understand your diagnosis, review all your treatment options, answer your questions and support you and your family. Our experts take the time to get to know you, understand your needs and work with you to choose the treatment that is best for you.
Infusion Center*
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our infusion center delivers advanced chemotherapy and immunotherapy in conjunction with our on-site oncology pharmacy. Our center was created with patient comfort in mind, with 12 private bays featuring comfortable, heat-massaging chairs that have a spectacular view of the Sierra foothills and the mountains beyond.

Radiation Oncology
Monday - Friday,
7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Our new, state-of-the-art linear accelerator greatly expands our ability to provide stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), one of the most advanced cancer treatments available today. Conventional radiation therapy is typically delivered in smaller doses over several weeks. SBRT is usually given in fewer sessions, has fewer side effects, and can also lead to better outcomes.

* Pending Board of Pharmacy license. Anticipated to open this fall.

Health Pavilion
For well over a century, Adventist Health care has promoted whole-person health – understanding that fresh air, sunlight, clean water, healthy foods, exercise and spiritual connections all can be used to achieve wellness and balance. You can find these themes throughout the Health Pavilion, which is filled with natural light, open spaces and décor inspired by nature.
Diagnostic Imaging Services
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Health Pavilion houses a full spectrum of top-quality screening and diagnostic imaging services, featuring some of the latest technology available.
  • 3-D Tomosynthesis mammography, which can provide a clearer breast image than traditional mammography, especially in women with dense breast tissue.
  • A new 64-slice CT scanner, which provides ultra-detailed images of your body’s bones, blood vessels and soft tissues.
  • PET/CT, which uses a special dye to “light up” cells in your body and help diagnose or track conditions like heart disease and cancer.
  • A powerful new MRI machine that features an extra-wide opening to help make large or claustrophobic people more comfortable.
  • DEXA, a bone density scan to check for osteoporosis.
  • Ultrasound, which uses sound waves to produce images.
  • X-rays, which provides real-time, moving images of structures inside your body.
Primary Care Services
Hours: Monday-Friday. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

You can see your doctor and receive laboratory services, diagnostic imaging services and other tests all under one roof – sometimes without even leaving your exam room. We also have same-day appointments available, to make it more convenient than ever for you and your loved ones to get the care you need.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The lab blood draw services that were at the Imaging Center on Covey Circle have moved to the Health Pavilion.
